To ensure the rapid improvement of your French skills, the Boulogne-sur-Mer Summer Programme is committed to providing a diversified quality teaching programme of 20 hours per week (see “Courses””) as well as a complementary and optional leisure and cultural activities programme of a minimum of 20 hours per week. This programme combines cultural discoveries with the opportunity to meet and develop friendships with people from different countries. (See « Activities »).
Our language stays are developed to help you learn intensively and efficiently as well as to “learn French with pleasure” in a friendly atmosphere (see « Testimonies »).

The Boulogne-sur-Mer Summer Programme is committed to the quality of its programme and has received the « FLE Label », label of quality approved by professionals. (see « Commitments»).

This intensive language course will allow you to progress rapidly, notably thanks to :

• a variety of classes and activities throughout the day (and often into the night);
• a qualified and attentive team of instructors who favour a dynamic and highly interactive classroom environment;
• the placement of participants into skill-level groups according to the standards of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CECRL);
• the opportunity to meet French people, both through our ever-present staff and through cultural and leisure activities ;
• an institution with long-standing experience (established in 1951).
• an institution strongly committed to the quality of its programme :
· The Boulogne-sur-Mer Summer Programme has received the « FLE Label ». , which shows that the programme’s quality has been inspected and approved by professionals (See « Our commitments »).
· In order to guarantee and continually improve the programme’s quality, the programme adheres to the recommendations of the NF EN 14804, , the European standard for language stays.

The Bologne-sur-Mer Summer Programme distinguishes itself thanks to its economical prices for a quality, all-inclusive programme. The intensive course for adults (prices are listed in the table below) includes :

- The classes :
• a minimum of 20 hours per week :
· 15 hours of « The French Language, Writing, French and Francophone Literature, etc. » in groups of 12-13 people, on average (maximum 15 people)
· 5 hours of « Oral Expression and conversation based on French civilization » in small groups of 7 people, on average (maximum 10 people)
• A diversified education thanks to several qualified instructors who work with every skill-level group

- The entertainment and cultural activities programme :
• at least 20 hours of cultural and leisure activities each week, in addition to the classes (a selection of optional lectures, guided tours, and other tourist activities). A team of activity leaders are present outside class hours and during activities to create a convivial atmosphere and interact with participants.

- The different housing options :
• on campus in a 3-5 person room, with a host family, or in a studio apartment.

- Meals :
• The price includes some meals (mainly weekday meals). The Summer Programme does not provide lunch and dinner on the weekend, as participants are often on outings and trips. (see « Meals » and « Housing options » below for more information)

PRICES FOR THE INTENSIVE COURSES FOR ADULTS
(basic training courses)

A note about the prices;

• No administration fees are added to the indicated fees of our language stays;
• A few optional activities (excursions, entrance to some museums, etc.) require an extra fee payable on site ;
• Prices don’t include bank fees and DELF fees. (see « DELF ») ;


• Good deals are offered to groups and group leaders ;
• Other prices are proposed for other courses : courses on a specific theme (for groups) ; courses for adolescents ; courses for instructors.


• ARRIVALS / DEPARTURES
Students should arrive on the Sunday preceding the first day of the course. (level tests every hour beginning at 3 PM).
Departure is scheduled for the day after the last day of class. Rooms must be vacated by 9 AM.

⁽¹⁾ MEALS are provided as follows :

Monday to Friday : option A (dorm), option B (family) and option C (family) : breakfast + lunch + dinner / option R (studio) : lunch + dinner (no breakfast)

Saturday and Sunday : option A (dorm) and B (family) : breakfast only / option C (family) : breakfast + 1 meal / option R (studio) : no meals. Several restaurants located close by in the city centre offer meals beginning at 10€.

· Option A : Residence Housing
This economical option provides housing in a campus residence that serves as an inviting place for relaxation and for activities (namely in the evening). This option is best suitable for those who enjoy having the opportunity to interact with the other participants and activity leaders, and who appreciate dorm-style living.
Housing in a high school dorm located in the city centre in 3-5 person rooms (shower and toilets in the hall). Summer Programme staff are always present (day and night) in the resident hall. / Meals : - Monday to Friday breakfast at the residence, lunch and dinner at the university cafeteria located in the city centre (1.5 km / 20-25 minutes by foot) - Saturday and Sunday : - breakfast only (at the residence) The Summer Programme does not provide lunch or dinner on Saturday and Sunday (Several restaurants are close by in the city centre).

· Option B or Option C : With a host family
The families who host participants are chosen for their ability to welcome students and their desire to meet foreigners, but also because their homes are located close to campus and the university cafeteria. The families live at various distances from the city centre, but never more than 30 minutes from campus by foot.

• Option B : Housing with a host family, in an individual room / Meals : - Monday to Friday : breakfast with the family; lunch and dinner at the university cafeteria located in the city centre - Saturday and Sunday : breakfast only (with the family). The Summer Programme does not provide lunch or dinner on Saturday and Sunday (Several restaurants are close by in the city centre)..

• Option C (half-board with a family + 1 meal Monday to Friday) Housing with a host family, in an individual room / Meals : - Monday to Friday : : breakfast with the family + lunch at the university cafeteria located in the city centre + dinner with the family - Saturday and Sunday : breakfast with the family + 1 meal a day with the family

· Option R : Housing in a studio apartment
The studios are located in recent or renovated university housing located in the city centre, close to campus and the university cafeteria.
Housing in a studio apartment with toilet, shower and a small kitchen area / Repas : - Monday to Friday : lunch and dinner at the university cafeteria located in the city centre, close to the studio apartments - Saturday and Sunday : The Summer Programme does not provide lunch or dinner on Saturday and Sunday (Several restaurants are close by in the city centre) Note : The studio apartment option (option R) does not include breakfast on any day of the week.

A deposit of 50 € is needed. We give it you back when you leave, after a control of the studio

> Payment
A deposit of 200 € (deducted from the total fees) must be paid at the time of registration. The balance must be paid at least 7 weeks before the beginning of your stay. See "Enrollment").

- DELF A2 : 60 €
- DELF B1 : 60 €

Fees for preparation courses:

• Six hours of coursework spread out throughout your stay, in small groups for each DELF certificate level (A1 A2 B1 B2) : 80 €
> Banking fees
· +19 € for each check that is issued by a non-French bank
· +19 € for each bank transfer from a bank outside the European Union
· No banking fees for transfers from banks located in the European Union
